Pastured meat pre-order details
This year, we’re working with MKVT farm in Glover, Vermont, to provide a full range of pastured meats for your winter freezer. MKVT is a perfect partner for Sunrise, since they raise animals very much in keeping with how we’ve done so in the past yet they have the land and scale to do so more efficiently than we could on our small holdings. We’re still keeping our dollars local to Vermont.
Fill in the form below to place your order. (You can order either one item or multiple items on the same form.) We’ll confirm your order via email and request a deposit of $100 per item ($50 for the turkey) to secure your spot. The meat will be ready for pickup at Sunrise in November.
The following prices are approximate, depending on how much meat you receive:
Beef: $6.60 per hanging pound, which is roughy an eighth for $650 and quarter for $1,300 (halves also available)
Lamb: $11 per hanging pound, which is roughly small for $475, medium for $525, large for $575. Pick up in October or December
Pork: $6.90 per hanging pound, which is roughly a half for $725 or a whole for $1,450. Pick up now or in
Turkey: $5/finished pound, or $50 for a small bird (10 lbs), $75 for a medium (15 lbs), and $100 for a large bird (20 lbs). Pick up in mid-October.
