Sunrise is a community-supported farm bringing people together to celebrate local food and strengthen local agriculture.
We grow certified-organic vegetables that are sold exclusively through our on-farm CSA from May through October and through local food coops and restaurants from November through April. We also sell our own pasture-raised lamb, chicken, eggs, maple syrup, and honey both to CSA shareholders and members of the public at our farmstand on Route 5. Summer hours (May through October) are Mondays and Thursdays between 11 AM and 6 PM. Winter hours - email with questions or to set up an appointment.
October 2017: Right now we're offering bi-weekly boxes of fresh, local, certified-organic vegetables to get you through November and December. Four boxes in total, picked up at the farm every other Tuesday: November 7, November 21, December 5, and December 19th. Perfect for two big eaters, a family, or someone hosting for the holidays.
Each box will include a selection of lettuce, spinach, mesclun, kale, onions, shallots, leeks, garlic, and storage items like carrots, cabbage, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and squash.
Total cost is $190, which is 10% below retail. Email csa at sunrisefarmvt.com to sign up The farm is located on Route 5 south, White River Junction, just over a mile from the V.A. Hospital and the Upper Valley Aquatic Center.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a collaboration between consumers and farmers. Individuals or families join our farm each year in order to receive the freshest vegetables money can buy, at 30% less than the normal retail price. Us farmers, meanwhile, know exactly what to grow and can tailor the harvest to best suit our members’ needs.
