2017 will be our eighteenth year of growing at Sunrise, and the CSA season is scheduled to run for 26 weeks, starting May 1st and running through late October.
The share price for the 2017 season is $599. You will receive 26 weeks of vegetables at a 30% discount from the grocery store value. You have some choice each week in deciding what to take, so you can customize things to meet your needs. The CSA share also includes plenty of pick-your-own herbs, green beans, and flowers.
We only offer full-share sizes, which will feed a single, committed vegetarian up to a family of four typical eaters. We do allow folks to split a share with a friend or a neighbor, and it works best if you come to the farm on alternate weeks.
Pick Up Days
You have a choice between two pickup days, either Mondays or Thursdays, any time between 11:30 AM and 6 PM. You can decide each week which day works best for your schedule.
If you know you’re going to be away for a week, you can either send a friend or neighbor in your place or just let us know in advance so that we can divide the veggies among the other members.
Pick-Your-Own Fruit Share
New this year! To better capture the value of Sunrise's summer fruit plantings, we've decided to create a separate pick-your-own fruit share. Each week, members will be able to pick a defined amount of available fruits. We'll have summer raspberries, blueberries, fall raspberries, and perhaps apples if the crop is good this year. The price is only $40 for the entire season.
It will take a couple of years to establish fruit at the new Perkins Farm, so the pick-your-own fruit share is located at the home farm (The Sunrise Farm homestead) just up the road.
