We have sold out all of our CSA shares for the 2010 season. If you’d like to be on our waiting list for 2011 (or in case something opens up for 2010), or if you’d like to be on our email list for purchasing chicken, lamb, pork, or beef, send us an .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) - we’d love to hear from you.

The cost of the share in 2010 is $525. Our goal will be to grow you $750 worth of vegetables for that money, assuming you purchased the vegetables (organic when available) at a farm stand or supermarket.

How big is a share? To some extent, that’s up to you, since we have a “surplus” table where you can mix and match your vegetables and tailor the quantity to your needs. In general, though, we aim to feed somewhere between one serious vegetarian and a family of four moderate vegetable eaters each week.

What if I want to split a share? That’s fine - sign up with a friend, or let us match you up with someone. You and your friend will alternate weeks coming to the farm. (We discourage people from splitting each week’s harvest, since it messes up our surplus system and leads to confusion over who took the melon, etc.) The share is not huge by some CSA standards, and nearly all of our shareholders purchase a full share.

What if I know I’m going to be away one week? You can either switch to the other pickup day that week, send a friend in your stead, or just let us know so that we can move your share to the surplus table.

The season will be 22 weeks long, starting in mid-May and running into mid-October. Sunrise CSA members will also have first priority in purchasing the lamb, pork, and chicken that we also raise. Pickup days are either Mondays or Thursdays (you can swap now and again if you know you’re going to be away) between 11 AM and 6 PM.
